One of the projects that we were asked to develop, compose and complete was a magazine ad. I decided to create an ad about a backpacking stove that we had built in our Boy Scout troop about a year before. This project opened my eyes to the power of Photoshop, the use of layers, alpha channels, and plug-ins, and make it possible to create almost any scene or effect.

Below is a further expansion of the stove theme. In this project we were asked to create an animated gif banner ad. I decided that the stove would work nicely when it came to developing my portfolio.
